5 VALUE FACTS FOR YOU

Here are five statements of truth for you, I call them value facts, they are clear truths that show how special and wonderfully made you are, you may not necessarily believe these truths right now, but think about them, embrace and confess them and watch them change your life as your sense of value and self worth receives a heavenly boost.

God made you

Science loving people will have a very scientific explanation for how the human being is brought forth, but it is important to point out that scientific explanation does not in any way invalidate the assertion that God made man, the scientific view tries to explain the process but cannot explain how that process came to be, in fact there is a big gulf in science as to the origin of man, there are of course many theories but they are only theories not facts. The word of God does not explain science it only makes assertions that over time science has come to agree with.

God’s assertion is that he formed man out the dust and breathed life into him, incidentally science does verify the fact that the human body ( flesh) contains certain elements like silica that can only be found in sand, coincidence? I don’t think so

The process of conception is God’s way of reproducing the original creation, in line with His command to Adam to reproduce, multiply and replenish the earth.

You are a wonder of creation, an engineering specimen, a master piece of creation, but it is not just the physical body that is a wonder, it is the balance of spirit, soul and body that makes man such a unique being. The you that God created is a spirit, living in a body and having a soul (will, emotions and mind)

No wonder the Psalmist exclaimed ‘I am fearfully and wonderfully made’, you my friend are a unique being, an engineering spectacle, a wonder to behold.

The Apostle Paul put it in a beautiful way, he said

We are God’s workmanship in Christ Jesus, the word workmanship could also read ‘expression of creative ability’.

God loves you

Am I valued? Does anyone care about me? We live in a world that is greatly impersonal, a place where people can get lost in the mass and press of humanity, the greatest need of modern man is a sense of self worth, of value, of belonging.

Thank God we do not have to be in doubt about God’s love.

Jesus said it clearly in John 3:16,

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that if ANYONE believes in him he would not perish but have eternal life.

God loves you, it is this love that made Jesus necessary, He IS God’s face to the world, the expression of his mind and heart, what do we read about Jesus?

He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

I met a young lady in Lisbon who said she used to believe in God but was no more sure if he even existed, why I asked? She replied ‘ When I see all the evil in the world and the terrible things that happen I ask , if there is a God and he cares, why does he allow all these things to happen?

The answer is simple and complex but in a nutshell we can say firstly that man (Adam)  in the exercise of his will had opened up a Pandora box that has given the devil the right to inspire and execute wickedness on the earth and secondly Jesus is God’s plan to make right what the devil has sought to make wrong.

God loves you because He made you in His own image, you may not feel that now but it doesn’t change the truth of His love for you, He does not love you because of how well you have behaved or conducted yourself, He simply loves you, that’s why he sent Jesus to stage an intervention in your life and bring you to an experience of His love.

God has a purpose for you

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jer 29:11-14 NIV

One of the greatest discoveries I have made personally is that God has a purpose for every single person born on this earth, sad to say, many times that purpose is not realized for many, but that is not because God wants it so, but because many times we refuse to accept God’s purpose for our lives and submit to it.

There is something called free will that can become a stumbling stone in the fulfillment of God’s purpose in our lives, To discover God’s purpose for our lives we need to exercise our will in accepting God’s plan for our lives and this plan starts with the decision to accept Jesus as our savior and Lord.

Jesus said something remarkable about God’s purpose and will and people, he asked his disciples to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The implication is that the will of God may not be done on earth at times.

Discovering God’s purpose for life is a life changing and altering event, it is that which gives a sense of fulfillment and meaning to life and living. A wise man once said ‘your purpose is not your creation, it is your discovery,

Ask Moses, who found his at 80 years of age, or perhaps Paul the apostle who discovered his after a life time of persecuting believers in Christ Jesus.

You are a person of worth, of value, it may not look like so now, but you are, accept God’s investment into your life; Jesus,. Nobody makes anything of value without a purpose for it.

I pray that you will find yours

God wants you whole

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

John 5:2-6 KJV

One of the great facts of human existence is that in many respects we are all sick, some physically, others emotionally, economically or spiritually. This sickness pervades our earth in many forms, it is one reason why there will always be hospitals, prisons and psychiatric homes, divorces, strife etc on the earth.

But God’s will is that we may prosper, be in health even as our souls prosper (3 John2) as we read through the gospels and see the life and ministry of Jesus, we see that this was his life mission, to bring people into wholeness.

While it is true that the whole world may not at this time experience this wholeness, yet you can decide to experience it.

Unless we see what God’s will is we will not be moved to reach out to Jesus for wholeness and healing.

I persistently urge you to find out what God’s will is by looking at Jesus and Jesus alone. He is the revelation of God’s mind for you. I am reminded of a statement credited to the late Mahatma Gandhi, he said’ I believe in Christ, it is WITH Christians I have problems’ (paraphrased) Sadly this is true even today in many respects but Jesus said clearly in words and deeds God wants you whole in every area of your life.

God has made provision for your wholeness

God does not only want you well, he has made provision for your wholeness, for your healing, emotional stability, your financial well being, family harmony etc

This provision has Jesus at the center of it, He is the sacrifice offered up on our behalf to redeem us from all our sins and reconcile us to God. God has ensured through Jesus that all our needs are met, whether it is because of our access to Him in prayer or the benefits that come to us directly as a result of what Jesus did on our behalf or the many promises and benefits that are accessed through the word of God.

Look at this

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Rom 8:31-33 NIV

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

2 Peter 1:3-4 NIV

There you have it, five simple truths, value facts I call them, you can decide to believe and embrace them and watch your life change for the better
