In the midst of a global pandemic, rising fear and the things that follow we need to remind ourselves of the all sufficiency of the Lord in these times. This is good news, extremely good news

Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever!

Human extremity has not changed, man is till weak, vulnerable and open to the forces of sin, sickness and satan. Reading through scriptures and  human history we are forced to this conclusion, our circumstances have not really changed in absolute terms.

Thankfully mankind has made great advances in science and medicine that has overcome and mitigated the effects of certain disease conditions, but  I think the successes and advances we have experienced has lulled us into a false sense of immunity and maybe arrogance, but this Corona pandemic is bringing some home truths to us, we have not yet arrived, we are not ivincible.

I believe that there are more than natural forces at play in the man- disease environment, the devil is an active participant in the environment. Science discounts the presence of the devil and the supernatural but human experience and divine revelation makes it plain, we are not alone!

Jesus said it clearly

The thief has not come but for to steal, kill and destroy

What we see worldwide is massive destruction and disruption of our society on an unprecedented scale and if the problem & its cause is still the same, surely the answer must be the same.

What is the answer that God has provided to the onslaught of the devil and the works of hell?

Hear Jesus Christ

I am come that you may have life and have it in abundance

Divine life when it comes into contact with sickness brings healing, in the same way when it comes into contact with sin, it displaces it and brings victory over sin and righteousness. Look at this

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Great multitudes followed Him — from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

Matt 4:23-25

Then just like now, human extremity presented itself to Jesus Christ but the power and mercy of God was more than sufficient to meet the needs of the people.

Jesus healed all manner of diseases among the people, I believe every possibility is included here, All, whatever we may face at this present time, God has provided an eternal answer to the corona virus question.

Not too long ago, I was reading the story of the woman with the issue of blood, you know the story (you can find this in Mark 5:20) two things strike me in this story about this woman, firstly, her disease by the standards of her day (and perhaps even now) was incurable, the doctors had done the best they could without much success and she was left with just no alternative, that is until Jesus showed up.

The second thing I noticed was that she did not wait for her help to come to her, she went to Jesus, in other words she was proactive n seeking help, she had many years of failure to hinder her but she was not going to be denied.

This is the point, Jesus is as alive today as he was in the flesh, the scriptures say16

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever

He is an unending solution to a perennial situation. We need not be overwhelmed or distraught, Jesus is the healer!

When I speak of Jesus as the healer, I speak not only because the bible says it but also my experience and the experience of many others bear this out.

Here is a testimony from Dr Anyi Wosu, a friend and brother who is a specialist Physician in South Africa

The lady ( Sister Gina) in front to the left of the picture ( wearing blue yellow and white native) testified today that you prayed for her daughter who had chronic debilitating headaches and fatigue not responding to doctors or any type of medication.

Praise God!!! Since that day she has been completely healed and free of the headaches. That’s almost 2 years ago!

Thank God for good doctors, they do the best they can but thank God for Jesus Christ who is very present and ever able in all situations.

The question is not whether Jesus heals or if he wants to heal, the question is how you can experience his healing power.

The underlying condition given to us and manifest by all who have received anything from the Lord is faith!

Faith is the only way for a person to connect with the power and ability of God working through Jesus Christ.

The woman with the issue of blood came to Jesus because she believed, the folks who brought their sick to Jesus did so because they believed.

Jesus himself asked people, ‘do you believe I can do this?’

Many years ago, a young lady came to a meeting we were having, apparently she was suffering from migraine, I remember asking her what she wanted , to which she replied ‘I came to get healed’. No equivocation, such certainty and assurance, well guess what, she was healed!

When she was sharing her testimony, she said, she had felt too ill to come to the meeting but she reasoned that if she did not come for the meeting how would she get healed!

Jesus is the same today as he has always been; he has given us his name and his Spirit and commanded us to pray for the sick in His Name.

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

Luke 9:1

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 16:15-18

Well you are reading the good news now, I have a mandate from the Lord to minister to you and bring healing and salvation to you, that is if you want it enough to come to Jesus for it.

So what next?

Obviously you are physically far from where I am, but there are a couple of options open to you which you can exercise in faith to receive healing .

You can talk to the Lord yourself and tell him that you believe and ask him to heal you.

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21)

 You can find a believer or minister who truly believes and ask him or her to pray for you (John 14:12-14)

Or you can get on the phone or facebook messenger and call any of the help lines in this newsletter and somebody will pray with you.

God loves you and wants you saved, healed and delivered and He sent Jesus for precisely this reason.

Believe and be saved.
