The ultimate manifestation of this rebellion will be the eventual appearance of the man of sin or the antichrist, a human driven and empowered by Satan himself.

We must understand where this secret power of rebellion is coming from, it is the devil himself. You remember that he led the very first rebellion against God and has been working since then to get to this point.

The man of sin is Satan’s personification just as Jesus is God’s personification. This man of sin will be totally possessed by Satan as he seeks to rule the world through him.

The antichrist is Satan’s very manifestation through a human agent; therefore it is fitting that his appearance will be on the platform of satan’s ultimate characteristic, rebellion.

Just as the first rebellion was put down by God, this one will be and all those who have been caught up in it will suffer the same fate as the one they have followed.

The unfortunate thing is that many professing believers have been caught up in this deception, many appalled at some of the abuses that have been captured in the different spheres they campaign in, but the solution to rebellion and abuse on one hand is not more rebellion and abuse on the other.

It is possible to stand on the authority and liberty of God’s word to challenge unrighteousness and rebellion wherever it is found.

William Wilberforce did so for many years, campaigning against slavery until freedom for slaves was eventually won at the tail end of his life.

No matter how righteous your cause may be, to promote rebellion and partake in the spirit of rebellion will eventually lead to the defeat of that cause and establish and strengthen the spirit of lawlessness that is at work in our days.

God will bring every rebel to account for rebellion and ultimately will establish the rule of His Kingdom in and through those who have believed.
